About Dr. John C. Schiro

I'm often asked why I became a cosmetic dentist. When I was young I was embarrassed by my teeth. For more than half of my life I did not smile much and was not confident about the appearance of my teeth. Not long ago my wife and I were looking at our old photographs from way back in our high-school days (I married my high school sweetie). We both noticed that we could not find ANY pictures of me smiling and showing my teeth.
Later in life, after I graduated from dental school I had my own smile fixed. This changed my life! It transformed my smile and made me feel great about smiling and gave me a new-found feeling of self-confidence. I also noticed that when I smiled at people, most would smile back and were generally more friendly.
Needless to say, I was hooked on cosmetic dentistry. I found that I wanted to help everyone experience this feeling of confidence that comes from being able to laugh and smile without embarrassment or hesitation.
